Super Bowl Prize Pack Contest!

Super Bowl Sunday is just over a week away! Let it be known that I’m not a huge sports-watching fan…and that’s an understatement. As much as I love participating in sports, watching sports on TV causes my eyes to glaze over and I get a sudden increased interest in watching the paint dry on the walls. Funk even made a grand attempt this Fall and taught me the rules of football in the most simplistic, 1^st grader terminology ever. And you know what? I caught on! And (secretly) enjoyed watching a few games, New England Patriots ONLY. I still don’t get how people can spend time watching teams they’re not even rooting for!

Anywho, sports aside, I do love Super Bowl parties. It’s a fun, winter afternoon event with friends, tasty snacks, finger foods, and fun (if your team wins). I also love eating chips and copious amounts of salsa and there is always an abundance at Super Bowl parties, no?

While we’re still working on our Super Bowl plans, I’m starting to wonder if we’ll end up being the hosts this year. I have two fabulous friends visiting from out of town for the weekend, and Funk just bought the 42” monstrous high-def TV he’s been eyeing. Sounds like the perfect starter recipe for a fun Super Bowl party. So, just in case we do wind up hosting, I need your help! I’d love to have your favorite nutritious Super Bowl recipes.

They can’t include meat (cuz I won’t cook it) and cheese should be kept to a teeny tiny minimum. Submit a recipe in the comments section by end of the day on Friday and I’ll randomly pick one person’s recipe as the winner the following Monday (so make sure you leave your email address!).
