Blog Food Bridal Shower

I recently had my first bridal shower and was so surprised when I saw the hosts pulled recipes from my blog to create and serve! I can’t say I’ve ever had someone make one of my recipes…and then serve it to me! It was such a sweet (and delicious) gesture, I had to share some shots. Do these look familiar?

My easy last minute appetizer of baguettes topped with hummus and olive tapenade:

Salted chocolate dipped clementines (so many!)

My Mediterranean pasta salad

Couscous with arugula, avocado and grapefruit

I don’t typically make a recipe more than once since I always have so many I want to try, so it was such a nice opportunity to taste some of my old favorites!

We got some really generous gifts, most of which now have a new home in our kitchen. I have been having a ball cooking with our new kitchen tools and will be showing them on the blog over time!

Thanks to my hosts for an amazing shower!

P.S. Remember my pal and video host Sarah? She helped me shoot some fun nutrition videos. Sarah is in the running for a YouTube contest, and if chosen, she’d win $32k to invest in her video productions! Sarah has a huge following on her videos for her great fitness tips, and this would allow her to get bigger and better! She’s one of 147 finalists, and already made it past the first round, but needs your help to make it to the judging round. Please help her out! For more info on the contest, click here, and to vote for Sarah click here and click on the thumbs up! You can vote once per day. Good luck Sarah!

Kale and Chickpea Soup

Kale and Chickpea Soup

A few weeks ago I made this Kale and Chickpea Soup, modified from Vegetarian Times’ White Bean and Kale Soup. Because I’ve been transitioning between my old computer and new one, I totally forgot about this recipe I wanted to share! I’m also still trying to get the hang of blogging from a Mac. Ishow me more
