Marzetti Simply Dressed Giveaway

bowl

For the past few weeks, I’ve been blogging about recipes I created using Marzetti Simply Dressed all natural salad dressing. I was lucky enough to sample some of these fantastic dressings (made with ingredients I recognize!) and now have a go-to dressing to not only use, but also recommend to my clients.

Now I want to give you the opportunity to win and try some of these fantastic dressings! And to help you prepare some delicious salads, you can also win this great big salad bowl with bamboo tongs. I actually used mine to hold a massive batch of quinoa salad I made for Thanksgiving. I never seem to have enough big bowls and containers to store food and this one does it!

In order to win this fun Simple Salad Prize Back (complete with bowl, tongs, and five free product coupons), all you have to do is leave a comment telling me your favorite simple salad to whip up. You can even leave a link if you have the recipe posted somewhere, so start sharing some salad love! I’ll choose a winner on Monday, December 19th.

Lentil Burgers

Lentil Burgers

I haven’t made a good homemade veggie burger in a while, even though we eat at least one Dr. Praeger’s veggie burgers each per week. Sometimes Funk makes these grand veggie burger meals with the Dr. Praeger’s that I call “Funk’s Special” because they always wind up so much better than when I just popshow me more

Homemade Food Gifts

Homemade Food Gifts

Tis the season for last-minute-shopping-and-avoiding-the-mall! Actually, I braved the mall over the weekend, along with eight-gazilliion other people. Shopping during the holiday season isn’t stressful for me one bit, since I bought everyone’s gifts weeks ago and we really don’t go crazy with the gift giving. But Funk and I needed a few things, soshow me more

Eat Simply

Eat Simply

When it comes to healthy eating, I believe that the simpler, the better. I look for foods that have simple ingredient lists that I can understand. I follow recipes with simple instructions, since I’m terrible at following instructions anyway. And I choose foods that are as close to their original state as possible, and wereshow me more

Museum of Science: What I Eat Around the World

On Sunday Funk and I headed to the Museum of Science to check out a special exhibit: What I Eat Around the World in 25 Diets. I planned ahead by picking up two (significantly reduced) tickets from our library and we headed over there just as the museum opened, which was awesome because we didn’tshow me more

So isntead of my regular posting, I thought I’d share some things I’ve contributed to outside of my little blogiverse: On the Food Network’s Healthyshow me more

Soft Taco Burritos

Soft Taco Burritos

In my mind, these started out as burritos. Then I filled them like soft tacos. Really, what’s the difference? The key to the taco-burrito filling is to cook the brown rice with taco seasoning. Bam! Instant taco-burrito flavor. I didn’t really measure the ingredients and I made a massive double batch – one for usshow me more

Homemade (vegan) Bread

Homemade (vegan) Bread

I did it! I fi-na-lly successfully made bread in my bread machine! Funk’s grandma gave me her old bread machine a few years ago, and after two failed attempts at bread, I put it away in the basement. I wanted to give it another try this weekend, since everyone saysshow me more
