BBQ Tempeh Pizza

I saw a post for BBQ chicken pizza that looked delish…if you eat chicken. Since we don’t, I decided to do something similar with one of my favorite vegan protein sources: tempeh. I love using different sauces on pizza instead of just regular ‘ol tomato sauce, and love the zip and spice of the Trader Joe’s BBQ sauce.

Ingredients:

Pre-cooked pizza crust (because we’re that lazy)

A few glugs of BBQ sauce

1/2 thinly sliced red onion

1/4 diced green pepper

1 package tempeh, diced into tiny pieces or crumbled

Shredded soy cheese

Prepare just like you would any pizza (duh) and bake til the cheese is melty and the veggies cooked.

Simple and satisfying!
