Candy Apple Smoothie
I popped in to our local Whole Foods recently after being lured in by the sign outside for a Caramel Apple Smoothie. I cannot resist fall foods. It was deeeeeelicious! Zacky and I sipped it in seconds and when we came home for lunch that day, I decided to make us another one! The Whole Foods ingredients include strawberries, kefir, apples, apple cider, caramel and cinnamon. I changed the ingredients a smidge and dare I say I like my version even better? Zacky agreed by sucking down his own smoothie with lunch. All ingredients are approximate since I was just tossing things in.
1 large apple, cored
1/3 cup plain yogurt
1/3 cup coconut water or regular water or almond milk (if you need to thin out your smoothie)
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 tsp cinnamon
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
