Candy Apple Smoothie

photo-8 copy.JPG

I popped in to our local Whole Foods recently after being lured in by the sign outside for a Caramel Apple Smoothie. I cannot resist fall foods. It was deeeeeelicious! Zacky and I sipped it in seconds and when we came home for lunch that day, I decided to make us another one! The Whole Foods ingredients include strawberries, kefir, apples, apple cider, caramel and cinnamon. I changed the ingredients a smidge and dare I say I like my version even better? Zacky agreed by sucking down his own smoothie with lunch. All ingredients are approximate since I was just tossing things in.

Ingredients:

1 large apple, cored

2 dates

1/3 cup plain yogurt

1/3 cup coconut water or regular water or almond milk (if you need to thin out your smoothie)

1 cup frozen strawberries

1 tsp cinnamon

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Mmm this sounds fantastic! I actually bought kefir the other day that I’m going to make thick pancakes with in the coming future, mmm 🙂 Buuuut all of a sudden I want smoothie instead now 😛 The ingredients all sound like a wonderful combination, did you use medjool dates or the normal smaller ones? 🙂 x

Have all these ingredients except the strawberries. Going to try this with cherries instead today!
