How we support your family

We start by understanding your family's specific challenges, whether that's picky eating, food refusal, mealtime battles, concerns about nutrition or growth, or wanting to raise your kids with a healthier relationship with food than you had growing up. We help you build a structure and environment at home that reduces pressure and conflict around food.

With six children between Janel and Beth, we approach family feeding with research-backed strategies as well as compassion and empathy, and a knowing of how stressful feeding a family can be!

Family feeding support

If you’re dealing with your child’s picky eating battles, worry over whether your child is eating enough, or find your own complicated history with food showing up in how you feed your kids, let us support your family feeding concerns. If mealtimes in your house feel more stressful than nourishing, we want to help you find your way back to ease.

We will guide you on ways to take the daily power struggle out of mealtimes while still supporting your child's health and their ability to grow into a confident, intuitive eater.

Breaking cycles, building trust

Many parents come to us wanting to do things differently than how they were raised in regards to food, without the clean-plate club, the dessert as a reward, or the diet talk that shaped their own relationship with food. We help you become mindful of the language and habits around food in your home, so your kids grow up trusting their bodies' hunger and fullness cues instead of external rules.  It is work that benefits the whole family, kids and parents alike.

We'll get to know your family's mealtime dynamics, your child's eating patterns, and your specific concerns, then give guidance specific to your family to reduce mealtime stress and support your child's relationship with food long-term.
